    丁乐梅(Edwin John Dingle,1881年4月6日—1972年1月27日)是英国的一名新闻记者,从小就对中国怀有浓厚的兴趣,多年之后,为自己取了中文名字“丁乐梅”。1909年3月4日,他首次进入中国旅行。他从上海出发,途经南京、汉口、宜昌、重庆、四川宜宾、云南昭通、昆明、楚雄、大理、腾冲等地,于1910年2月14日进入缅甸。此后他多次进入中国,并作为记者亲历了中国的辛亥革命,在汉口、北京等地采访到了黎元洪和袁世凯等人。丁乐梅一生著作颇丰,大部分都与中国相关,包括《1911-1912亲历中国革命》《徒步穿越中国》《我在西藏的生活》等,为西方人了解中国做出了很大贡献。
